Hello, I’m Ray, I’m married to Jenny and I serve as lead minister in the church. We have been part of Grace for over 35 years, where we’ve raised our four grown-up children – who between them are now bringing up six (at the last count) grandchildren. It’s wonderful privilege to be part of the Lord’s family here.
Hi, my name’s Simon and I’m one of the leaders of Grace. My wife Suzanne, our two sons and I have seen God at work in growing his church over the past decade and more! We love the church’s commitment to people from all backgrounds, from those just beginning to explore Christianity to those who’ve been a Christian for many years.
Hi, my name’s Martin, I’m married to Sarah and we have three rapidly growing kids. We’ve been part of Grace since 2010, and my main responsibility is to look after the homegroups. We love how the church constantly tries to live out grace as a response to grace, bringing God’s good news to all sorts of people in our community.
I’m Jon, I’m married to Lois and we have two lively sons, Jamie and Zac. I’m responsible for the church’s outreach activities like the Explore and Identity courses and our work in the community (including the local CAP debt centre). It’s a real thrill to be part of a church family which is active in sharing God’s love for people, and where everyone is welcome.
I’m Nic, husband of Louise with three children. Louise is a great cook, Bethany has a cafe, Peter’s a chef and Jemima is studying hospitality at Uni. When we’re not eating and drinking, I’m a partner in a Luton law firm. As a leader at Grace, I enjoy helping and supporting others and encouraging them to grow in faith and love.
Hi my name’s Richard. I lead a local Community Mental Health team, working for the NHS. I’m married to Cathy, have 4 children and enjoy being grandparents. I support QPR, but less said about that the better!
Hi, I’m Chris. My wife Helen and I have been attending Grace for 15 years and recently joined the leadership team to develop the children and families work.
Cricket fanatic, chocoholic, travel mad, fan of Scandinavian crime thrillers – are all phrases you could use to describe me. Originally a primary school teacher hailing from West Yorkshire, I’ve been involved in children’s, youth and families work for many a year and joined the Grace staff team in September 2018. There’s a whole load I love about my role, but am especially excited to help organise groups for children, teenagers and their families in the community; teach the Bible in creative and clear ways; get to know and equip families; and encourage and train our brilliant volunteer leaders.
Hi, my name is Heather. I have had the privilege of working for Grace since 2003, mainly in the community based at the central and vibrant Project 229. Together with Louise, I run The Net support group for vulnerable and isolated women. I also run the Well Woman Workshop and other courses aimed at giving women confidence in all areas of their life.
My name is Louise Pestell and I’m a Ladies Pastoral Worker for Grace Community Church. I am married to Nic and we have three adult children. I work with ladies in our church family and our community via various groups I’m involved in leading. It’s a privilege to be involved in the lives of so many people, whether in the joys or the struggles.
Hi, I’m Ailie and I work part time for Grace overseeing the Administration Team. Working in the church office, I enjoy connecting with many different teams, volunteers and members of the community. I am married to Neil and have 4 grown-up children.
