GRACE IN THE WORLD
CARING FOR OUR WORLD
At Grace, we believe caring for people doesn’t stop at the edge of our town.
As well as serving our local community, we are involved in supporting projects, churches and mission work around the world. We want to play our part in sharing the message of Jesus and helping build communities marked by compassion, justice and hope.
Over the years, members of Grace have been involved in:
Bible translation work
church planting and leadership support
medical and community projects
children’s ministries and orphan support
short-term mission teams and partnerships
SUPPORTING OUR GLOBAL PARTNERS
We believe mission is about more than simply giving money.
As a church family, we regularly pray for our global partners, hear updates from the work they are involved in, and encourage Homegroups and individuals to actively support and engage with projects around the world.
Many of the projects we support focus on:
caring for vulnerable communities
supporting local churches
education and healthcare
practical relief and development
sharing the Christian faith
We currently support a range of long-term partners and projects across different parts of the world through financial giving, prayer and ongoing relationships.
SOME OF THE PROJECTS WE SUPPORT
Tshepo ya Bana – South Africa
Tshepo ya Bana is a place of safety for vulnerable and orphaned children near Hammanskraal, South Africa.
Their vision is to provide children with stability, care and the opportunity to grow up in a loving and secure environment.
Living Hope (Morning Star) – South Africa
Morning Star Children’s Centre supports children and families affected by HIV/AIDS through practical care, education and support.
The centre works with over 150 children and continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of many families.
Friends of CME Trust – Democratic Republic of Congo
Friends of CME Trust supports medical and educational work in north-eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
The project helps provide healthcare, education and support in an area where resources are limited but the needs are significant.
MISSION PARTNERSHIPS
Alongside long-term projects, Grace has supported and participated in work across many parts of the world, including:
South Africa
Nepal
Myanmar
India
Tanzania
Mexico
Lebanon
Sri Lanka
Kenya
Democratic Republic of Congo
Djibouti
Over the years, church members have taken part in short-term teams, practical support projects and long-term mission opportunities.
One of the wonderful things about Christianity is that it is truly global.
Part of a bigger story…
Every week, millions of people around the world gather to worship Jesus in different languages, cultures and contexts – united by the same hope and faith. At Grace, we love being connected into that bigger story.
